Lions and Lioness Club of Segamat participated in the Zone 20 activities on the 4th. Dec. at Juasseh Dam, Ulu Tenang. The theme for this activity was We Love, We Care and We Serve ‘Go Green’.
A convoy of 28 cars comprising 120 participants left Labis Bus Station for Juasseh Dam, a distance of 10 Kilometres.
At the Dam we were brief on the maintenance and working of the dam. For those who were brave enough to walk down 15 flights of stairs and up again at the control tower, they were rewarded with the mechanics of the 2 big release pipe; around 5 feet in diameter.
Visiting the nearby Orang Asli Village, the Lions presented sundry goods to 48 families. Dr. Khoo, President of the Lions Club of Segamat conducted a health screening; glucose test, blood pressure and vitamin pills prescribed. Some of the Lions were taught how to tap rubber by DC for Leo Program Lion Lim Peng Keong.
They later adjourned to the Lions Club of Labis “Lion Garden”, all the Cabinet Officers and Presidents were given a tree to plant. Lunch and fellowship were held at a restaurant at Labis new town.

Our Club organized a health talk base on palm readings on the 28th. Nov. at the Amway Segamat Branch meeting hall. There were 80 participants, comprising Lions, Lionesses and local folks.
They were taught how to differentiate and names of the lines in our palms, color, texture and tell tale signs of illness.
60 participants went for the glucose test and blood pressure examination.
